The Swedru Akwambo festival is celebrated every two (2) years.

It’s a festival that brings people together and attracts outsiders into the vicinity to come to grace the occasion in grand style as well as experience a rich display of culture. 

The festival this year started on Sunday, the 13th of August. On Wednesday the 16th of August, the chiefs and queens visited the virgin forest to pour libation in remembrance of the ancestors.

In the evening, they all dressed up in red to make merry and crown the occasion off in grand style.
